It’s been two years since I started taking pictures with my camera, and what I’ve noticed is that unlike other hobbies, the purpose and intentions of each person are quite different.
Some people are interested in art photography, and some are very interested in commercial photography.Even in commercial photography, there are photographers who are specialized in putting food on the table, and others who are specialized in product photography. At first glance, these people may seem strange. When I wasn’t so interested in photography myself, I never imagined that there were people who were so passionate about commercial photography, and who were so dedicated to getting better at it. Thanks to these people, product photography for stores and even catalogs is enhanced, and I now think that their photos and skills are very important.
Some amateur photographers, even hobbyists, hire amateur models to take pictures outdoors, and in some cases rent a studio to take professional pictures. There are even more different types and types of photography out there, the most common photo shooting is cosplay. It’s not just about taking cosplay photos, they also have more professional cameras and lighting, and you can see that they are different from photos taken with a smartphone camera.
Of course, there are amateur photographers who take pictures of naked women and men. Some of them take pictures that are generally not supposed to be published on the Internet. They don’t just want to take naked pictures, but they are particular about their equipment in their own way. However, it is easy to imagine that they are not simply hobbyists or amateur photographers. Nevertheless, this is also photography.
There is also “anime-style photography” or “anime photography,” a term that has not yet been coined, and it refers to photographs that are bright, with blue skies, a spring-like early summer atmosphere, tuned by white balance or filters like LUT (quite light blue). The subjects are high school or college students, or models whose costumes and appearance suggest such age. Photos like anime imagery, such as a so-called school story or a high school romance.
Street photographers. It is difficult to take street photos nowadays because of the troublesome issues of personal information and portrait rights, but even so, there are some street photographers who capture the silhouettes and backs of people passing by on the street to create a dramatic effect. or who increase the clarity to create a dense urban landscape. Of course, there are also those who focus on photographing neon lights and urban landscapes rather than people.well, i can’t list them up all. but among them, there are people i can call “camera lovers”. yes simply they love camera.hey are not interested in taking photographs, art photographs, or commercial photographs. They are only interested in the camera as a machine. These people are more interested in quantified things and have little interest in how to use the actual camera and how to take good pictures.
There are also people who are more interested in the lens, not the camera itself. Some people are more interested in the differences and characteristics of lenses than in the camera itself, and they believe that good pictures are only possible with lenses. There are also people who are like those who are addicted to fashion brands. These people have a “because it’s good lens” equation and so they don’t care much about the content. In other words, brands are the only way to compete with these people. I guess the basic idea that the difference in lenses is the difference in individuality has been left out, or maybe it just doesn’t matter. of course they don’t care.
There are “brand whores” in the camera world as well, and for them, what brand and lens they use is important, and the quality of the photo itself is compensated by the value of the camera and lens they own.
There are also those who are more interested in filters and retouching, and are not interested in the composition of the photo, but rather to tune the brightness and white balance. These are the “photo shoppers,” as they were called a long time ago. They strongly believe that they can make any picture look the way they want it to, and the process of taking a picture itself is of little interest or importance to them.there were some periods of some professional photographers began to say that photoshoppers never grow as photographers.
I often get messages from people saying, “I recommend this lens!” with some photos which taken by that lens. or sometimes I get message saying his/her opinion about camera models. and i don’t get why. i don’t think good pictures comes from only good lens. or are they want to say “change your lens otherwise your photo is just piece of shit”? lol
i am not sure but i feel people who keep changing brands and lenses are not really confident their result? or just to satisfty their curious? or can’t fugured out what they really want? i really don’t understand.
oh well. lol
