it’s been so long!! the last time i posted was february!
damn i am so lazy! sorry!
as you know I’ve been posting Instagram and gratefully number of followers are increasing.
as much as increasing followers, sometimes i am asked same questions. so i am going to write down my answers.
(but maybe somewhere in my blog, i posted before…)
Q: What do you use for shooting? what are your gears?
A: i have sony a7iii and a7iv. Lenses are Carl Zeiss Batis series, 18mm, 25mm, 40mm, 85mm and 135mm. i have sigma contemporary 100-400mm, toy camera lens and old lens too but i don’t use these much.
Q: Do you edit your photo on computer or on your smartphone?
A: I edit my edit my photo on my computer. everytime when i got from photo shooting, i import all photos to my computer then check all of them. then i save some i like, i delete rest of them.
Q: How do you edit your photo? photoshop or..?
A: I use Affinity Photo. it’s not subscription system and very reasonable price with great function, great quality. you gotta try it!!
Q: Your photo, the color is very uniqe. how do you make it?
A: Mostly I change settings on my camera. color temperature and color filter settings are very important to me. so i don’t have edit a lot on my computer. to know how to edit and how to make color, hmm you need to understand how to change the settings first. it is not that difficult. even small compact digital camera has these settings, so check it out.
Q: how much storage you have for photos?
A: My computer has 2TB and i have 2 HDD storage which is mirroring each other, one has 6TB. i replace external HDD every 3 years. people use it until it die but i strongly recommend you replace by every 3 years. preferably, not in the same time. this year external HDD “A”, then next year replace external HDD “B”.
Q: do you use cloud storage service? if so, which one?
A: I have Microsoft 365 Personal that has OneDrive (1TB). I am sychronizing my local storage with one drive for back up. when your computer crushed, data is still safe on cloud so i love this service.
but for my photo storage, i use regualr external HDD. for example like amazon drive, it’s totally free for pictures but if you need to check some photo on it, it takes forever to download. even just to check. this is not amazon’s fault it is japanese internet coneection and the environment are really suck.
Q: Do you take picture with you smartphone?
A: Occasionally, Yes. but i don’t post it. lol. i use camera on my iphone for just capture memo, scan for QR, or to record a location so i can visit again to shoot with my sony and batis. and like others, i take my selfie or snap with my friends.
Q: Do you interest about making short film or short movie clip?
A: Yes but i don’t know much about it so maybe i have to take time to learn first. also i don’t know what i want to do with it. so…. i don’t know. lol
Q: Do you read book about camera or technique about it?
A: I have. but only a few books. and actually, not really helpful. if you want to know specific technique, for example slow shutter, you can get the answer from the internet. but most helpful book was about color scheme.
